Gary Chevsky joins YouSendIt as Vice President of Product Development and Operations

CAMPBELL, Calif. – April 7, 2009 – YouSendIt, the leader in secure digital file delivery on the Web, announced the addition of Gary Chevsky as Vice President of Product Development and Operations today. In this role, Chevsky will be responsible for driving and executing the technology roadmap to ensure product and service excellence, and ultimately providing YouSendIt customers with the highest level of quality.

Chevsky brings more than 17 years of experience in the Web industry to YouSendIt, most recently serving as Vice President of Engineering for Norton at Symantec Corporation. While at Symantec, Chevsky was chiefly responsible for generating Web-based applications for Norton consumer products, including the creation and delivery of Norton Insight and Norton Safe Web.

Chevsky is also a founding member and architect of Ask Jeeves, Inc., now known as Ask.com. As the only engineer at the time of the company’s inception, Chevsky developed all backend and frontend pieces of the Ask Jeeves’ question-answering engine, securing multiple patents for his work.

Born and originally educated in Russia, Chevsky received his higher education in the Bay Area, attending the University of California at Berkeley, where he majored in computer science.
